Welcome to the Department of Mathematics. The Department of Mathematics started functioning in Govt. Arts and Science College, Calicut from the year 1964. In the beginning Mathematics was taught as a subject for Pre-Degree first group and fourth group students. The Department was upgraded to UG department with the introduction of B.Sc. Mathematics programme in 1978. Now the department offers BSc Mathematics programme and complimentary courses for BSc Physics and BSc Chemistry programmes. The department has three permanent teaching faculties. Along with teaching, faculties  actively involve in research and published research papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals. They show keen interest to participate in  national/international seminars and to present their research papers.
